The Mindset That Will Make You Successful

Read time: 3 min.

Have you ever felt that gut instinct that someone wants to take from you?

  • The pushy salesperson looking to make a quick sale.

  • The ''friend'' who only reaches out if they need something from you.

  • The YouTuber who begs for you to like, comment, and subscribe.

These people operate from a taker's mindset.

They act out of self-interest and are impossible to connect with.

When I sense this, it turns me off, and I want to disengage from the situation fast.

But once in a while, you meet someone who's energy hits different.

They care about you and offer genuine help.

Without wanting anything in return.

I'm talking about givers.

Giver's Mindset

The best creators, public speakers, and coaches have a giver's mentality.

They love their work so much that they would do it for free.

Take the boys from @__we_love_you_ as an example.

Two guys with 2 million followers, who create content to inspire others.

No paid products, services, or even a website.

Just a genuine desire to help.

Instead of asking, "What's in it for me?" givers think, ''How can I share it with others?''.

The joy of giving and witnessing others grow is priceless.

It's why I coach people for free.

A simple smile and a heartfelt 'thank you' at the end of each session means everything.

The Irony of Giving

When you focus on giving instead of taking:

  1. You'll receive more in the long run.

  2. Work sucks less and fulfills more.

  3. People sense your authenticity and trust you faster.

Trust is the cornerstone of any relationship.

It's the first question people ask—"Can I trust this person?"—before they even consider buying your products or services.

Step out of the spotlight to make room for your client’s success.

This ultimately leads to your own success.

If your clients win, you win.

Closing Question

Think about this for a second.

Would you do your current job for free?

If the answer is no, what's something you'd do for free?

Pursue that.

Much love,
