- Do it before you're ready.
Do it before you're ready.
Read time: 2.5 min.
Today, I posted my 1000th video.
Not here, but on my faceless brand that has quietly grown past 2 million followers.
After that many uploads featuring some of the world’s most successful and insightful people, you start noticing patterns. And there’s one story I’ve heard again, and again…
When these people look back on their journey, they rarely talk about feeling "ready" at the start.
In fact, it's usually the opposite.
They talk about feeling scared. Uncertain. Anxious.
But despite the fear, they started anyway.
Action Creates Confidence
I hear this objection constantly from new coaches.
There's this belief that confidence needs to come first, and only then action follows. That you need to feel certain before you take the leap.
But every conversation I've heard suggests the opposite is true.
Confidence doesn't create action. Action creates confidence.
The coaches who build successful practices aren't the ones who waited until they felt ready. They're the ones who started before they felt ready and figured it out along the way.
Learn by Doing
Here's what I find fascinating about this specifically.
You can read every book, complete every certification, and master every framework.
But none of that prepares you for the moment a client asks something you didn't expect. Or breaks down crying. Or when your carefully planned approach completely fails.
That's where the real learning happens.
Not in theory, but in practice.
They Started Anyway
The most fulfilled coaches I know all share one trait: they started messy.
Their first offers didn’t sell.
Their early sessions were awkward.
They made mistakes, adjusted, and tried again.
But they started.
And in starting, they discovered things about themselves, their clients, and their approach that no amount of preparation could have taught them.
Final Words
So here's what I want you to consider.
What if you stopped waiting to feel ready? What if you coached one person this week, even imperfectly? What if you made one offer, even with shaky confidence?
The world needs what you have.
But only if you're brave enough to share it.
Take a chance on yourself.
Much love,
